On the second day in Berlin, we decided to take it easy. We started our morning (really late at 11:00 am) having breakfast in a wonderful coffee on the corner of Rosenthaler Platz, St Oberholz a working café where plum cake is wonderful and the atmosphere is really hipster!
After we have recharged batteries, we discovered this new radical- chic district. It is perfect if you like shopping and wandering along the old pavements, watching the stylish crowds. In between the small design and clothing shops, there are lots of bars and restaurants where you can relax and have nice meals. On Saturday a kind of vintage- food market take place and it’s super full of happy families and little blond kids. Delicious!
In the late afternoon we moved to Alexander Platz, where we had a wonderful drink on the top of the Fernseheturm: from there you can beneth of a stunning view of the city.
The Hackesche Höfe (Hof here means courtyard) is quite famous and is comprised of a labyrinth of eight courtyards. The area around Hackescher Markt is perfect to find shops of designers and it’s the hotspot for unusual clothes, outrageous shoes or fancy accessories.
The tour of the eight courtyards and a hamburger made our day.
